Melanie Tavare
Melanie Tavare graduated from the University of California at Berkeley in 2001 with a degree in political science. After working for a San Francisco law firm and a San Francisco based non-profit, Melanie enrolled at the University of San Francisco, School of Law (USF). While at USF, Melanie worked as an assistant to a U.S. Magistrate Judge where she performed legal research and assisted the Judge in her duties as a visiting professor at Golden Gate University School of Law. In addition to her legal studies, Melanie participated in USF's Criminal Law Clinica where she honed her skills as a legal advocate, having all the cases she worked on decided favorably for her clients. Melanie graduated from USF in 2007 with a Juris Doctorate and was admitted to the California Bar in 2008.
Currently, Melanie is the litigation associate at the Cline Law Group. Most recently, Melanie won a complex tax discharability case in the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals against the Franchise Tax Board.
